Lamai Anne is a Melbourne-based author, artist, and collector of animals she didn't plan on having. After twenty years as a textile designer working with brands like Adairs, Hallmark, and Natio, she decided the sensible next step was to open a doggy daycare, start writing a fantasy novel, and acquire twenty-two chickens. She lives on two acres with her husband, two teenagers, three dogs, four cats, two ponies, and the aforementioned chickens (plus two turkeys who believe they're in charge). The Heart of Shadow is her debut novel. She's been drawing since she could hold a pencil and telling stories almost as long. She is currently writing Book Two and pretending she has a plan.
