Lamai's artwork is a collaboration of Native Flora and Fauna that encompasses her home and surroundings. Nestled in a quiet rural setting at the foot of a national park, Lamai is able to draw on her surrounding environment to create her desired pieces.

'It's often the changing of the seasons that inspire me the most. The way a flowering gum will burst into life in summer and leave behind beautiful gum nuts by autumn,' Her illustrations of Australian Natives are meticulously brought to life through her digital art, and the composition between the seasons to create vivid, colourful and eye catching pieces that bring the Australian outdoors into your home.

Lamai's work began it's upward spiral when her first fabric collection was showcased through Robert Kaufman. She has since worked with companies such as Adairs, Hallmark cards, Rock your Baby, Wild Apple Graphics and Papyrus cards.

Born in New Zealand, and spending the majority of her lifetime in Australia, Lamai has been practising and challenging her artistic curiosity for much of her life. Her working career began in the sign and design fields before moving on to textile design with a major Australian retailer.

With a quiet home studio, Lamai is able to divide her time between creating her art with her textile design work and spending as much quality time as possible with her husband and two young children.
